Zeinoul Abedien Cajee practiced as auditor / consultant in an auditing firm and held a senior lectureship post at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He has wide exposure to local and international Islamic scholars and has been actively engaged in several community / youth development projects over the years. Mr. Cajee attended and presented at various international conferences, seminars, and workshops on a variety of waqf related topics including investment, corporate governance, Islamic civilization, community empowerment, estate planning & Islamic wills, and history. He published numerous waqf, zakah, and community development-related books and articles. Since 2000/2001, Mr. Cajee has been passionately involved in the founding and implementation of the National Awqaf Foundation of South Africa (AWQAF SA) and supporting the establishment of waqf institutions in South Africa and abroad. He currently also serves as a Deputy Secretary-General of the World Zakah & Waqf Forum.
