Dr. Turkhan Ali Abdul Manap is a Senior Research Economist at IsDBI. Prior to joining IsDBI, he was an Associate Professor of Economics at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) where he taught courses at bachelor’s, master’s and PhD levels. He obtained his PhD in Economics from IIUM in 2007, MBA in Finance from National University Malaysia in 1999, and Bachelor’s degree (Engineering) from Dalian University of Technology, China in 1993. His research interests include macroeconomics, Islamic capital market, financial stability and stress-testing for Islamic financial institutions.
