Dr. Muhamed Zulkhibri is a Senior Research Economist at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). He previously worked for ASEAN as the Head of Finance and Economics and the Central Bank of Malaysia as a Research Manager. He was also a member of regional working groups on economic and financial development and served on the editorial boards of international journals. He has published numerous articles in academic journals and industry reports and has taught at the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom and the University Putra Malaysia. His research interests include monetary economics, macroeconomics, and Islamic economics and finance. His most recent books include Islamic Monetary Economics and Institutions: Theory and Practice (Springer 2019). He obtained a PhD in Economics from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom.
