Syed Faiq Najeeb is a Senior Islamic Finance Specialist at the Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI). He specializes in the creation of an enabling environment for the Islamic finance industry with expertise in Islamic banking and capital markets regulations, supervisory guidelines, financial stability analysis, macro-stress testing, and Islamic finance product structuring. Prior to joining the IsDB Group in 2019, he served as the Head of Standards Development at the Islamic Financial Services Board (IFSB), as a short-term Islamic finance expert at the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and as a Manager/Analyst in KFH-Research, a subsidiary of the Kuwait Finance House Group. He has also published 13 journal articles to date on diverse topics in Islamic finance and briefly served as a visiting lecturer for Islamic finance at the University of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.
