Dr. Ismaeel Ibrahim Naiya is a Senior Economist at the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). He is responsible for conducting applied research and analytical works on wide-ranging macroeconomic and development issues. Before joining the Islamic Development Bank, he served as a lecturer at the Department of Economics, Bayero University Kano, Nigeria. Dr. Naiya graduated from the International Islamic University, Malaysia in 2012 with a specialization in structural transformation and poverty reduction. He has published a number of papers and articles in his areas of specialization.
